TSA's CBD Update (6/19)
TSA, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration, officially announced on May 29, 2019, that you may now pass through airport security legally with CBD and medical marijuana. Of course, bringing a whole case of CBD products on the plane may attract some attention, but TSA’s newly updated "What can I bring?" page makes it clear that personal quantities of “hemp-derived CBD" products in your possession are legal and safe for air travel.
TSA specifically credits the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill as the reason for now letting CBD products through security.
The U.S. federal bureaucracy’s unwarranted stance against cannabidiol is finally changing, but you may still need some of the soothing effects of CBD to make it through the unnecessarily hectic airport-security checkpoints when you fly.
